HUMERA is working to install a solar power station in Abu Ashush village in Sudan, to improve access to electricity and support sustainable development.
Access to electricity is a fundamental factor in improving daily life and supporting communities’ ability to meet their needs. In areas that need strengthened energy sources, the importance of sustainable solutions that make use of available natural resources and provide a basis for more stable services becomes clear, reflecting on the lives of residents and the opportunities for development in their communities.
From this standpoint, HUMERA is working to implement a project to install a solar power station in the village of Abu Ushush in Sudan, with the aim of contributing to meeting the village’s energy needs through a renewable source. The project comes as part of the foundation’s direction to support communities with solutions whose benefits extend beyond an immediate response and help them build the foundations of a better life.
The project focuses on providing a solar energy infrastructure that converts sunlight into electricity that can be used within the station’s scope and operational capacity. HUMERA continues to work on completing the project, in preparation for its entry into service and the realization of the desired benefit for the villagers, while directing efforts toward completing this development intervention.
It is expected that operating the station will contribute to improving access to energy and alleviating some of the difficulties associated with providing it, thereby supporting the activities and services that the station will power. The value of the project goes beyond its technical equipment to its expected impact on people; energy is a means of facilitating life affairs and enhancing the community’s ability to make use of its resources and develop its reality.
